Great place to stay if you do not want to spend $200-$300. We were greeted before we even got to the office door. Friendly staff. They were very informative about local stores, restaurants, and fun things to do. Rooms smelled and looked clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice shower surrounded by ceramic walls. Well water, so bring your own bottled water. Has microwave, refrigerator and cable tv. We are coffee drinkers, so we brought our own coffee pot. However, they serve coffee in the office in the morning. Our room had 1 bed. It was a small room, but we didn't mind. After all, it is just a place to sleep at while we check the sites out. I will definitely stay here again.
This is a very quaint little place. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked very well. The beds were a little stiff and very noisy and the shower is tiny and takes forever to get warm. Those little problems aside this is a very nice place to stay.
Shower was very weak and the water was very hard and smelly. The private deck was facing a bunch of weeds and an old row boat. I felt compelled to stick a butter knife in the window frame to keep anyone else from breaking in. For the price, there are better options.
The staff was very friendly, but the accommodations were not up to par. The only reason it is not a 1 star is due to the staff. The shower was at least 20 years outdated, and the temperature wildly fluctuates from burning hot to freezing cold to normal without touching the controls and the well water smelled foul. There were several spiders that needed to be killed in the 3 nights we stayed. The walls were extremely thin and we were woken up on one of the nights at 4am when the neighboring unit was getting...frisky. The microwave cord had to be held in order for it to work, and the tv and microwave were outdated. The service went out a couple times including Wi-Fi. The air conditioning worked very well, but the heat part of it had a burning smell coming from it. The bed was very stiff and the sheets were not fitted and kept pulling off the edges. There was a single available wall outlet aside from the bathroom, making it difficult to charge more than one device. It may have been one the cheapest places around but I would rather have spent an extra 20 a night for peace of mind. The summer rates are insane here. I'm not being overly picky, but I feel there are standards you should meet if your prices are over $100/night.
Motel is in a good location as it was close to a couple of stores and restaurants. We stayed in the suite which we thought was way over priced. It had a kitchenette meaning refrigerator, sink, microwave and toaster. It is very dated. Straight out of the 70's. Wifi was very spotty and slow. Furniture was sketchy and mystery stains on the sheets.
Very nice place to stay and relax. Very quiet location. Room was very clean. We had one minor issue and the wonderful people here fixed the issue immediately and for our small inconvenience they gave us a cherry pie and ice cream. Awesome. Thanks to all the staff here for treating us like family.
